Irish aesthetic clinic group, Therapie Clinic, has announced plans to expand its operation into Scotland with the first clinic opening in Lothian Road, Edinburgh on 17 October.
The group, Europe’s largest provider of laser hair removal and skin treatments, has 15 clinics across the Republic and Northern Ireland has chosen Lothian Road, Edinburgh and St Vincent Street in Glasgow as the first two sites in Scotland. The Glasgow clinic will open on 24 October.
Therapie Clinic provides pain free, fast and effective results in laser hair removal, with initial free consultations, and has carried out nearly half a million treatments to-date. Therapie Clinics will be regulated by Healthcare Improvement Scotland.
The new clinics will create 20 jobs in Scotland, 10 in each clinic, and staff will be trained to the exact standards of the brand. Edinburgh’s clinic manager, Fiona Blain and Glasgow’s clinic manager, Hazel Dawson, have already been appointed and has recruited their teams from across the cities.
“We’ve chosen Scotland to expand into because we’ve identified a gap in the market for a high quality treatment at an affordable price.
“The Scottish market is of course different to Ireland and there is a bit of education amongst consumers as to what laser hair removal is and how it can improve lifestyle.
“Our longer term plans are to expand further in Scotland and within the next three years into England.”
The investment to move into the Scottish market is estimated to be around £2 million.
