Irish beauty clinic group, Therapie Clinic, has announced plans to expand its operation into Scotland, opening two new clinics in Edinburgh and Glasgow this October. Glasgow-based digital PR agency Aura PR has been handed the full brief.
The Therapie Clinic group, the largest provider of laser hair removal and skin treatments in Northern Ireland, has 15 clinics across the Republic and Northern Ireland has chosen Lothian Road, Edinburgh and St Vincent Street in Glasgow as the first two sites in Scotland.
The new clinics will create 20 jobs in Scotland and staff will be trained to the exact standards of the brand. Recruitment will start shortly.
Laura Sutherland, chief at Aura said: “I’m thrilled to be working with Therapie Clinic – our brands are aligned with similar values and personality. We’re planning an integrated strategy encompassing paid, earned, shared and owned media, as well as the launch events which will take place in October.
“For Aura, this further cements consumer brand experience, and highlights Aura as a go-to agency for quality Scottish public relations activity. The Therapie Clinic strategy is fully integrated, which gives us a great scope to engage the right audience and help develop the new business in Scotland.”
Katie McGlade, founder and director of Therapie Clinic said of the expansion: “We’ve chosen Scotland to expand into because we’ve indentified a gap in the market for a high quality treatment at an affordable price.
“The Scottish market is of course different to Ireland and there is a bit of education amongst consumers as to what laser hair removal is and how it can improve lifestyle.
“Our longer term plans are to expand further in Scotland and within the next three years into England.”
The investment to move into the Scottish market is estimated to be around £2 million.
